The Petzval Lens

In 2008, I wrote an article on the history of Petzval lenses, posted here. While a good first attempt, the article needed updating, editing, additional fact checking and endnotes. Serendipitously, in the spring of 2013, I was asked by The Photographic Historical Society of New England to provide some content for the 40th Anniversary edition of their publication, The Journal, which prompted me to significantly update the article over the past 6 months. After much anticipation, the article was finally published in December 2013 in Issue # 171 of The Journal; New England Journal of Photographic History.
