I have been a camera collector for over 20 years now. In 1995, I founded the Internet Directory of Camera Collectors, "IDCC." The IDCC grew to be, and still is, the world's largest on-line community of active camera collectors. See here for more information on the IDCC if you wish to join.
I have also been an active EBAY buyer and seller since 1996, with over 1,650 positive transactions and ZERO negative transactions - something I am very proud of, since its not easy to please everyone - but I try. See here for my EBAY feedback page.
I started this web site in late 1994 and it has been consistently ranked in the top search rankings on google since its creation. As such, I was getting so many emails each day asking for help with identifying and valuing cameras/lenses, that I began offering my Camera Appraisal and identification Services as well as creating my detailed camera and lens Price & Information Guides.
The site is also supported by affiliations to Amazon and Ebay.
My own personal camera collecting focuses on American made, pre 1900, wood and brass cameras that are 4x5 and smaller in size.
